In the CIC Commercial Casualty course, you will gain a detailed understanding of the coverage, limitations, and exclusions of the Commercial General Liability (CGL) Policy, the Business Auto Policy (BAP), and the Workers’ Compensation and Employers’ Liability Insurance Policy (WC & EL Policy).  Become familiar with current, practical policy knowledge and learn how to apply the limits of insurance and recommend appropriate endorsements.

Topics Include: Commercial General Liability (CGL) Concepts and Coverage, Additional Insured Concepts and Endorsements, Business Automobile Coverages and Endorsements, Workers Compensation and Employers Liability

**Exam is NOT required for CE credit.**

The virtual classes will count for both state CE and designation credit. The exam requirements remain the same and the exam is only required for those pursuing a new designation.
The exam will no longer be given at the conclusion of the seminar. Participants will take an online exam the week following the course in a testing window open Monday at 12:01 am through Thursday at 11:59 pm. Specific instructions will be sent to each participant.

Paul Burkett is the President and CEO of Snoaspen Insurance Group, Inc. which specializes in risk management consulting, insurance teaching, and expert witness services for agents' errors and omission carriers.

Paul began his career as a Loss Control Representative for SAFECO Insurance Company after serving as an Officer in the United States Air Force. During his career with SAFECO, Paul served as a Loss Control Supervisor, Loss Control Manager, Commercial Sales Representative, Division Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager, and Regional Workers Compensation Manager. From Safeco Insurance Company, Paul worked for Frank B. Hall & Company as a Vice President in charge of Risk Management Services. Paul was responsible for design and implementation of alternative insurance programs such as pools, self-insurance, and captives. From Frank B. Hall, Paul assisted in establishing the Meadowbrook of Colorado office and focused on developing specialized group programs. Paul assisted in establishing TUITIONGard which specialized in coverages for private student loans provided through banks in the United States. This operation has recently been sold and the operations are being phased out over the next few years.

Paul has a Juris Doctorate from Concord School of Law, an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and has completed graduate work at the University of Oklahoma in Public Administration. Paul has obtained the following designations: Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM), and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Paul is a National Faculty member of The National Alliance and has served on the Board of Governors of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

Bettye Hutchison is President of Central Insurance Services, Inc. in Adelphi, Maryland, and former Vice President of Truckwriters of Colorado, Inc. in Lakewood, Colorado and Truckwriters of Wyoming. Inc. in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After long years of "commuting" across the country on a regular basis, Bettye is taking a break from her ownership and leadership roles in the agency business and will focus on teaching and consulting. Bettye has a long list of accomplishments and contributions to The National Alliance and to the state associations for which she instructs. Bettye has served on the Board of Governors for the Society of CISR, as well as the Board of Governors for the Society of CIC.

Bettye is a National Faculty member for the Society of CIC, teaching at CISR courses, William T. Hold Seminars, CIC institutes, Ruble Seminars, and CRM courses. She is an instructor for other risk management and insurance associations and companies. She has written several articles and develops educational material on Insurance and Risk Management. Rough Notes magazine has featured Bettye in their marketing agency of the month and awarded her the "Marketing Agency of the Year." Accomplishments and contributions like these have earned her a place as a Charter Member of the "Distinguished Faculty" of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
