Earn 6 hours of General Illinois CE credit and 1 hour of Ethics credit

This course helps make you an indispensable team player in any insurance agency. As you work with colleagues and customers, you will do so with enhanced self-assurance and a greater understanding of the dynamics within insurance organizations. Also, understanding how agencies operate is essential training for both insurance agency and company personnel.

Topics Include: Legal & Ethical Requirements, The Insurance Agency, The Insurance Industry and Marketplace, Communication, Agency Workflow, Account Management, Errors & Omissions

**Exam is NOT required for CE credit.**

The virtual classes will count for both state CE and designation credit. The exam requirements remain the same and the exam is only required for those pursuing a new designation.
For those taking the exam, you will do so online. The exam window will be open beginning at 4:15 p.m. the day of the class through Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CT the week following the class. Specific instructions on the exam including proctoring of the exam, and completion information will be distributed during the course.

Scott Treen is the President of Treen Insurance Agency in Jefferson, Ohio. He has more than 40 years of experience as an insurance professional. He earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University in 1981 and holds the CPIA designation and earned his CIC designation in 1999.

Scott received the Jack V Hedges Educator of the year award in 2007 from the Professional Insurance Agents of Ohio and is on the National Faculty for the National Alliance.

Scott has taught for CISR, CIC, LUTCF, CPIA and other professional development courses and speaks to various civic groups. He has also taught insurance related curriculum to high school students. He was past president of the Ashtabula County Life Underwriters Association.
