Drainage District Insurance Considerations

These small liability policies are required by state statute for Drainage Districts to maintain and many of these policies are written with carriers outside of your agency, leaving other agents open to prospecting the farm/ag business away from your agency.  Help close the opening/foot-in-the-door by rounding out this business or learn about how to use this business as an inroad to the rest of the farm package.

Objectives of this course:

       -    Understand the current market for some of your farm clients and prospects’ business left with other agents as Drainage District Commissioners
       -    Identify what these Commissioners are learning from the Illinois Association of Drainage Districts (IADD) regarding insurance in order to stay in compliance with statutes
       -    Learn about Drainage District claims, contracts, and coverages
