This course is best taken after CISR Personal Residential Property & CISR Personal Auto Exposures.

This course examines coverage exclusions and limitations in the most current ISO Homeowners 3 – Special Form and the ISO Personal Auto Policy. Learn to address exposures created by business activities, the ownership or use of recreational vehicles and watercraft, and the need for additional coverage through Personal Umbrella Liability and Catastrophe Coverage.

Topics Include:

Business Activities of Personal Lines Clients – Unique exposures to in-home businesses, types of loss, risk management considerations, and methods of insuring exposures.
Recreational Lines – Identify exposures faced by personal lines clients with recreational vehicles and watercraft.
Personal Umbrella/Excess Liability Understand Personal Umbrella Liability/Excess Liability Coverage concepts and identify and compare policy differences.
Personal Lines Catastrophe Coverage Coverage solutions and risk mitigation methods or resources available to personal lines consumers for catastrophic perils.
Personal Lines Emerging Risks Basics of how emerging risks develop, risk management process essentials, and how to apply the risk management process to an emerging risk.

**Exam is NOT required for CE credit.**

The virtual classes will count for both state CE and designation credit. The exam requirements remain the same and the exam is only required for those pursuing a new designation.
For those taking the exam, you will do so online. The exam window will be open beginning at 4:15 p.m. the day of the class through Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CT the week following the class. Specific instructions on the exam including proctoring of the exam, and completion information will be distributed during the course.

Betsy Tribendis started in the insurance industry in the mid 1970's when she joined her father's Insurance and Real Estate agency, Nobel & Walters, Inc. She has remained in the family business to this day and is currently the Principal/Owner of the agency, now Walters Associates, Inc, located in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania.

She earned her Alliance CIC designation in 1984, and received her Accredited Adviser in Insurance in 1983, and her Graduate Realtors Institute in 1988. She has been very active in the Independent Insurance Agents of Pennsylvania (IIAP), having served on the State Executive Committee and Board of Directors. In addition, for 12 years she served as the Chairman of the Education Committee for the IIAP.

Betsy had been an instructor for more than 10 years for the IIAP until its merger with the PIA of PA, MD, & DE, teaching various courses such as Pre-Licensing, ACSR, AAI, Errors and Omissions, and other Personal Lines courses. For the past 20 plus years she has been an instructor for the Insurance Agents & Brokers of PA, MD & DE (IA&B). She is also a CISR faculty member for The National Alliance, now known as the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. In addition, she instructs for several state Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Associations.
