This course is best taken after CISR Personal Residential Property & CISR Personal Auto Exposures.

This course examines coverage exclusions and limitations in the most current ISO Homeowners 3 – Special Form and the ISO Personal Auto Policy. Learn to address exposures created by business activities, the ownership or use of recreational vehicles and watercraft, and the need for additional coverage through Personal Umbrella Liability and Catastrophe Coverage.

Topics Include:

Business Activities of Personal Lines Clients – Unique exposures to in-home businesses, types of loss, risk management considerations, and methods of insuring exposures.
Recreational Lines – Identify exposures faced by personal lines clients with recreational vehicles and watercraft.
Personal Umbrella/Excess Liability – Understand Personal Umbrella Liability/Excess Liability Coverage concepts and identify and compare policy differences.
Personal Lines Catastrophe Coverage – Coverage solutions and risk mitigation methods or resources available to personal lines consumers for catastrophic perils.
Personal Lines Emerging Risks – Basics of how emerging risks develop, risk management process essentials, and how to apply the risk management process to an emerging risk.

**Exam is NOT required for CE credit.**

The virtual classes will count for both state CE and designation credit. The exam requirements remain the same and the exam is only required for those pursuing a new designation.
For those taking the exam, you will do so online. The exam window will be open beginning at 4:15 p.m. the day of the class through Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CT the week following the class. Specific instructions on the exam including proctoring of the exam, and completion information will be distributed during the course.

Brandi Anderson started her insurance career with a Direct Writer before transferring over to the independent agency system. She has worked as a personal lines CSR, as well as a Vice President of a mid-sized agency. Brandi spent several years as Education Director with the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas before moving back into a marketing role within the state. Brandi currently handles marketing in Arkansas for Nationwide Insurance and was the 2017 Sales Manager of the year for that company.

Brandi has taught various commercial and personal education courses over the last 15 years. She has given multiple Errors & Omissions presentations and acted as an expert witness in several court cases. She has written Ethics programs for the IIA of Arkansas as well as coverage courses for the PIA. Brandi earned her CIC designation in 2000. She also holds the Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) and Excellence In Service (EIS) designations.
