This course will help build a better understanding of what your clients need to know about life and health insurance. Explaining the benefits of having the proper life and health insurance is key to the financial wellbeing of your clients’ families and businesses.

Be better prepared to answer questions about analyzing the need for and placement of life insurance. Health insurance includes a diverse assortment of policies, from medical expense coverage to vision care and dental coverage, plus a variety of delivery systems and health plans designed to manage the high cost of care.

Topics Include: Introduction to Life Insurance, Term and Permanent Life Insurance, Common Characteristics of Life Insurance Concepts, Healthcare Policies, Federal Regulation and Consumer-Driven Health Plans, Medicare

**Exam is NOT required for CE credit.**

The virtual classes will count for both state CE and designation credit. The exam requirements remain the same and the exam is only required for those pursuing a new designation.
For those taking the exam, you will do so online. The exam window will be open beginning at 4:15 p.m. the day of the class through Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CST the week following the class. Specific instructions on the exam including proctoring of the exam, and completion information will be distributed during the course.

Samuel Bennett, CIC, CPRM, AFIS, TRIP, CRIS, CPIA is an active retail producer, presenter, agency owner and consultant. A resident of Batesville, AR, he began his insurance career in 1987 and has been an Independent Insurance Agent from the beginning. He has worked with individuals, families, and small businesses his entire career. In this capacity, he has worked in the personal lines, commercial lines, agribusiness, and life and health marketplaces. As a result of working with many types of clients, insurers, and coverage needs, he has grown to understand and appreciate the important ways an insurance professional must work with markets and clients in today's insurance world. As a consultant, he works with agents and agencies as they work to increase their insurance IQ and efficiency.

Sam obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1996. He has taught coursework for the Risk and Insurance Education Alliance in their Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) program since 2000, has presented in its CIC program since 2004, and in 2009 became a national faculty member of the Society of CIC. In 2021, he obtained his Certified Personal Risk Manager (CPRM) designation from the Risk and Insurance Education Alliance and is a presenter and Educational Consultant in that program. Sam also currently serves as Educational Consultant for the state of Arkansas for CIC and James K. Ruble programs.

Over the years, Sam has been retained by law firms to offer expert review of cases involving agent standard of care and coverage questions. He has been called on to offer insurance education in conferences and symposiums across the country over the past 30-plus years.
